After one year of practice, Ben was promoted and appointed Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery. He also worked as co-director of the Craniofacial Centre at the same hospital.

A few years later, Ben and his team went to Zambia to separate twins (Luka and Joseph) who united at the top of their heads. The operation lasted 28 hours and in the end was successful, the two babies were safe and healthy.
