Billy Campbell or William Oliver Campbell, his birth name, was born on July 7, 1959, in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, and comes from a rather modest background. He grew up there together with his two siblings David Campbell and John Campbell.

However, when he was only two years old, Billy’s parents divorced and from then on he grew up with his mother in Charlottesville.

For his education, the boy who was to become a popular actor attended the Fork Union Military Academy and from there he went to the Western Albemarle High School.

Although Campbell always had a knack for acting since his childhood he also always loved rugby. He played for the UVA Rugby Football Club, the Chicago Lions RFC and the Santa Monica Rugby Club.

The killing actor got his first television role in The Rookies, in which he starred in 1973. But his career really took off in the 1980s when he appeared on the television show Family Ties. Billy Campbell was named one of the “50 most beautiful people in the world” by People Magazine in 2000 and was not married. Nevertheless, he has been in various relationships in the past.

The 58-year-old had a relationship with the actress Virginia Madsen. This relationship dates back to 1981 and lasted up to 7 years before it ended. The next relationship he would be involved in was with another actress, Jennifer Connelly, in 1990. Campbell, 31, had this relationship with the actress until 1996 when it ended.

Apart from these relationships, the actor who is supposed to be gay has not reported any relationship, nor has he denied or confirmed that he is gay.

In 2015 he is said to have been in a relationship and in reality, he was already a father. According to him, his “girlfriend lives in Norway and we had a little boy in September. I am starting a family at the mature age of 55. I must stay healthy”.

Nothing is known about the girlfriend or whether she has become his wife.
