Claire Robinson – Biography
Claire Robinson was born on January 1, 1978, and her birth took place in Jacksonville, Florida in the United States. She was born into a middle-class American family and grew up alongside her brother. Although her parents’ names are not currently known, it is known that her family moved around a lot before she finally settled in Memphis, Tennessee. She is an American by nationality and comes from a mixed ethnic background.
After completing her basic education, Claire Robinson went to the University of Memphis, where she earned a degree in Communications in 1999. She then moved to New York City where she enrolled at the French Culinary Institute. During this time, Claire Robinson worked at Maggie’s Pharm where she learned to use exotic herbs and spices to prepare tasty meals.
Before joining the French Culinary Institute, Claire Robinson started her career; she worked behind the scenes as part of the production team at WREG-TV, a subsidiary of the CBS network in Memphis. During this time she also worked for several years at WMC-FM Radio Network. From there she moved to Tiger Sports Properties, where she worked as Marketing Manager for the Sports Department at the University of Memphis.
Although she enjoyed her job at that time, Robinson was not as satisfied as she was with cooking. Her undeniable passion for cooking prompted her to move to New York City. There she earned a degree from the French Culinary Institute. When she left the Institute in 2005, Claire Robinson worked as a member of culinary production teams for several cooking shows. Her notable appearances include Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello, a Food Network show, and Every Baking for Everyday Food, which was broadcast on PBS.
After establishing herself as a chef, Claire Robinson decided to take a step forward in her career. In 2010, she joined the Food Network, where she began hosting their long-running food show Food Network Challenge. She also hosted other Food Network shows, including 5 Ingredients Fix and Quest for the Fresh, among others.
