Joe Budden’s Bio, Wiki, and Music
Joe Budden, whose full name is Joseph Anthony Budden, was born on 31 August 1980 as the son of Fay Southerland: father and unknown mother in Spanish Harlem, New York City, United States of America. He grew up mostly in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Unlike most other children, but similar to some others, Joe was completely uninterested in schooling. The few moments he spent as a schoolboy, he invested with all his heart in his rap interest. In high school, he began to break free in connection with drug abuse. He claimed to have won many freestyling battles against several acquaintances in his high school, but his addiction and drug abuse were about to win the war for his life without the star in him being recognized.
He had several emotional confrontations with his mother, and thanks to her he willingly underwent rehab on July 3, 1997, after a violent argument with her. His rehab was a great success because he came out with common sense and was ready to succeed in life afterward. He continued his musical interest and performed several times on many New York mixtapes, including DJ Kayslay, Cutmaster C, and Clue.
Joe is also a member of the American hip-hop subgroup Slaughterhouse of recent times. He collaborates with his rap colleagues Joel Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce da 5’9″

The song was used as the soundtrack for the movie “2 Fast 2 Furious”, a 2003 crime thriller, and the video game Def Jam Vendetta, Def Jam Fight for NY, and Madden NFL 2004. In the same year, he won the Vibe Next Award, the first prize in his musical career.
Joe has continued to make music, and to his credit, has performed songs like Focus, which were played in the game Budden, in which he was a character in the virtual world. In the song Fire, he played Busta Rhymes. The song was used in the movie Mean Girls, which was very popular. His song Drop Drop was also used in NBA Live 2003 and in the movie Cradle 2 the Grave.
At one time he had problems with his record label, which was because his Def Jam seniors didn’t know the direction of his music. This disagreement resulted in his second album not being released, and since Def Jam and Joe Budden continued to disagree, the two were forced to separate.
He has been with Amalgam Digital since late 2007 until today, after signing a multi-album deal with them in December 2007. He released his independent debut, entitled Padded Room. Albums like Halfway House and Escape Route have also come from him. He formed a group with Crooked I, Royce da 5’9?, Joell Ortiz and Nino Bless for a track called Slaughterhouse. The name of the group was taken from the name of the first song on the album called Slaughterhouse.
