Greg Wise is an English actor, producer, and writer who has been actively involved in the entertainment industry for close to three decades now. Mathew Gregory Wise was born in Newcastle, England on May 15. 1966. He grew up in a middle-income household as both of his parents were architects; he also had a sister, Clare Wise. Greg must have been really fascinated by his parent’s career choice as a child, as he decided to tow their line of work when he grew older. Greg began his educational pursuit at St. Peters’s School in York.
He thereafter got admission into the Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland where he studied Architecture. While he was in the University, he took special interest in acting and stage performance and he signed up with the Edinburgh University Theater Company where he developed his acting skills further, taking part in a few productions of the company.

Greg has also worked extensively with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) appearing in 4 drama shows – The Buccaneers featuring Carla Gugino, The Moonstones alongside Keeley Hawes, Madame Bovary together with Frances O’Connor and The Riff-Raff Element, all between the years 1992 and 1993.

Greg lost his older sister Clare to cancer in 2016, and it was a very painful loss to him as he shared a very close bond with her – in fact, he actively took care of her and was with her when she finally died from the second cancer attack in 2016. He wrote a blog with his sister about her struggle with cancer, and when she died most of the Blog’s content was converted to a book titled “Not That Kind Of Love”, which he co-authored with Clare.
In 2018, he took part in Celebrity Bake Off where he participated in the final episode of the Stand Up to Cancer series and won; his fellow contestants on the show were Nicola Adams, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Caroline Flack.
It has been quiet from Greg in recent times as he has not featured in any gig since 2018, however, the actor has not officially retired from the industry and might be only taking a break.
